Kerim Münir
Director of Psychiatry, University Center for Excellence in Developmental Disabilities (UCEDD), Division of Developmental Medicine, Children’s Hospital Boston, 300 Longwood Avenue, Boston, Massachusetts, USA.
Dr. Munir currently directs a national and an international training program in Mental Health and Developmental Disabilities (MHDD) sponsored by the National Institute of Mental Health and Fogarty International Center, respectively. He is the recipient of the 2006 Klaus Peter Award by Harvard Medical International and Harvard Medical School for his work at the Children’s Hospital Boston promoting education and research of medical students and clinical fellows in a number of countries, including Turkey.
He was a Fulbright scholar at the English School, Nicosia, Cyprus, and a recipient of a British Council scholarship to read medicine at University College London. He completed his training in psychiatry at Massachusetts General Hospital and in child and adolescent psychiatry at McLean Hospital, Harvard Medical School, and holds a doctorate in science from the Harvard School of Public Health.
