Thomas Von Salis

I was born 1941 in Zürich, studied medicine in Geneva and Zürich, had my training in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry (and some training in paediatrics) in Dublin, Ireland, and Zürich, Switzerland. I was employed as a senior doctor in child psychiatric institutions in St.Gallen, Switzerland and began, while working part time in private practice in Zürich, my psychoanalytic training. In the 80-ies I was trained in Grupo Operativo, a form of group teaching, (qualitative) research and psychotherapy. Since then I use group techniques in supervision and family therapy, as well as in teaching. At present I am teaching at the University of Zürich.
